Exploring as a 21st Century Educator: Diving into the Cloud for Incredible Learning Opportunities

posted by Paul

This installment from FETC 2011, called Exploring as a 21st Century Educator: Diving into the Cloud for Incredible Learning Opportunities, is presented by John Kuglin. The program guide says of this presentation:
Today's learners are connoisseurs of a buffet of technology treats. Our students are enticed daily with a plethora of "Web 2.0" snacks from "the cloud." This buffet is being served up through computing devices that are smaller, better connected, and cost less. Creating motivating 21st century learning environments for our digital "media snackers" is a formidable task. This presentation will take you deeper into the "internet cloud" in search of innovative services that in many cases are free! Discover new collaboration tools, distribution techniques, and innovative ways to present information. John Kuglin serves as your guide for an intriguing exploration of these new tools, and their intersection with the classroom. Educators can do more on less when existing resources are combined with these new cost-effective cloud-based technologies. Develop a better understanding for the role technology can play as you face the challenging economic times ahead.
